The upcoming Season 3 for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone is slated to kick off from April 2 and Activision has detailed all the new contents that are set to arrive which will add a new lease of life into both games. The incoming Seasonal update will bring Nine new and returning multiplayer maps plus new Zombies content on it’s first day, new round-based Zombie map during mid-Season, six new weapons and many more.
Overall, the upcoming Season will offer more of what you’ve loved from Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 although it may not convert anyone into a fan if they’re not already.
The upcoming update will also make the Endgame mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 completely free which is set to feature a new Operations mode that will make you return to Avalon for even more action packed gameplay. There will be new summon attack drones which can convert foes into your allies via the Warband Skill Track, plus there’s the new Aether Blade Ability that will allow you to throw a ricocheting projectile and combined with the Thermal Spike Ability that you’ll get through the weekly challenges, they can inject new flairs into the tried-and-tested Call of Duty gameplay loop.
In terms of new arsenal, the Season 3 in Black Ops 7 includes the MK35 ISR assault rifle, the VST submachine gun, Strider 300 Sniper Rifle, 1911 pistol, the Siren and Katana special weapons.
The Call of Duty franchise, as a whole, has been criticized for years by both players and critics alike for iteration rather than innovation and the devs, as well as publisher Activision, didn’t really do much to address a lot of those complaints. But as this year’s Battlefield 6 has, in many ways, managed to surpass Black Ops 7 in several areas most notably in terms of total player count as well as User Rating on Metacritic, all of this has likely forced the publisher and the devs to want to change things around for the franchise.
