A beefy update is headed to Battlefield 6 on March 17 alongside it’s Season 2: Nightfall phase, adding a whole bunch of contents on top of the nighttime gameplay which can seriously bring a new flair into all the usual run-n-gun action. As you may already know, Battlefield 6 Nightfall is going to turn the lights out in the popular multiplayer shooter (and in Battlefield Redsec as well), introduce tense and tighter combat spaces and visibility based gameplay mechanics that’s actually new to all players since the game came out last year.
And all of that nightly action will take place on the new Hagental Base map which is built around close quarter shootouts and will have players ambushing each other in the dark, caving in their opponents, blasting through entire walls and a lot more. If you, like many other players, have been finding Battlefield 6 a bit weary right now, it’s Season 2: Nightfall phase can provide a refreshingly different experience for you to jump right into the action again.
Nightfall will also feature all the familiar Battlefield 6 modes such as Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch and Domination matches on the new Hagental Base. Plus, there will be a new Nightfall gauntlet which will sport elimination styled progression with the Darkness modifier active, an array of vehicle improvements, UI, Networking and HUD improvements, AI advancements and many more.
The upcoming Game Update 1.2.2.0 will also add a new area called the Defense Testing Complex 3, which is accessible beneath the main battleground, along with several fun new vehicles such as the M1030-M1 and TM/O 450 Dirt Bikes and brand new weapons like the CZ3A1 SMG and vz. 61 fully automatic sidearm.
A new Battlefield REDSEC Limited-Time Event called ‘The Red Bull Supermoto’ will also be available with the upcoming update, which, according to the devs, is the following: “Arriving later in Season 2, this high-speed Gauntlet-style experience focuses on dirt bike racing. Eight players enter, competing across three knockout rounds. By the final stage, only four remain to battle for Red Bull in-game rewards in a fast-paced elimination showdown.”
