RIG Riot just got an amazing page on the Steam Store, and this is a great game people should be getting if they are missing games like Armored Core. If you are a fan of giant robots that move extremely quick, and you are a PC gamer, I feel like RIG Riot might be a game that you have to get your eyes on if you want something like that. The game was released already, so you can try it out if you so desire, I feel like the price is fair too and competitive against other indies in the market right now.

Armored Core is a very important series in video game history, as it helped cement how mecha games should feel, the very first entries were very slow and clunky, but that was deliberate. RIG Riot is clearly inspired by more modern Armored Core titles, especially Armored Core 4, where you zoom fast through the skies to dispose of your enemies who also move quite fast. The series has changed in a very drastic way, and the current Armored Core 6 does feel quite fast too, but it also sort of reminisces the old ways that ACs used to move.
I wonder how fast RIG Riot will be on average, I will assume that it will surpass the speed limits of what we saw in Armored Core games so far, or maybe it will end up having a similar speed to Armored Core 4 without any option to be slower like older titles in that series. Options really spice up how a game is played, and when I get it I wanna see how many of those exist. If you are interested you can check out the demo and you can even wishlist the game.
