The biggest arcade racer of this year, Forza Horizon 6 just added a new flair in it’s drifting with an additional, dedicated drifting mode named Drift Attack which operates similarly to the Time Attack mode and can be played directly through the open world without a separate lobby or loading screens in between. The new mode can be accessed via the Shimanoyama Circuit in Forza Horizon 6 and unlike both Horizon Drift and Drift Zones, Drift Attack brings a new layer for scoring points with the addition of “Clipping Zones” around the tracks which will boost your total score when drifts are performed within the marked areas.
So if you think you’re quite the expert in drifting when it comes to Forza Horizon 6, here’s your chance to prove it and show off in the new mode which also features the same in-game leaderboard functionality of Time Attacks, and is integrated into the Horizon Festival campaign as well. And completing various Drift Attack Collection Journal tasks will also get you a Drift Attack racesuit and helmet, along with a brand-new Forza Edition car–the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition.
The new Drift Attack mode is also released in parallel with the Horizon Playlist Series 5, ‘British Automotive’, which will run from September 10 to October 8 and comes with the following unlockable cars as rewards:

- 2021 McLaren 620R (earn 40 points during the Summer Season)
- 2015 Jaguar XKR-S GT (earn 20 points during the Autumn Season)
