Pony Island 2: Panda Circus just got a trailer and its looking like an amazing continuation of a PC indie game classic. More people might know Daniel Mullin Games as the person who made Inscryption, but if you go way back to his birth as a developer you will found out Pony Island was his first game. Safe to say, Pony Island 2 was an awaited sequel because the first game left us on a huge cliffhanger without any proper explanation. I wonder what we can expect from this new entry, that promises to be even more weird than the first game somehow.
Pony Island 2 is coming
The theming is pretty Chinese for some reason, it usually was a game about arcades and demons, and manipulating computer files to find out the truth behind what happened to you. The thing is, even with that glimpse of truth we still don’t know what any of that meant, it definitely was weird, but we were someone from a far away time it seems. Civilization, unknown, origins, we don’t really know either, our fate was unknown even to us and the demons who trapped us inside this game. If you are a fan of Inscryption you really should have played Pony Island, or any other game by Daniel.
They are all pretty good and crafted with love, and we need more indie developers like this who keep making amazing things. The gaming industry is in a very bad spot right now, and we don’t know what can actually happen if things keep going this way. Lower requirement games will be needed to fill the slot for people who can’t afford massive rigs and pay for wild things, because everything is getting more expensive. Thankfully Pony Island 2 is built to run on old hardware too.
