Pocketpair has officially begun early planning for Palworld’s Version 1.1 update following the game’s successful exit from Early Access last month. The studio confirmed the development push via social media, sharing a photograph of a meeting room display at its headquarters labeled “Palworld v1.1 Brainstorming Session.” The teaser comes shortly after the launch of Version 1.0, which added over 70 new Pals, expanded the map with the World Tree region, and overhauled mechanics such as breeding and stat progression.
While the initial image sparked rampant speculation among players, publishing lead John “Bucky” Buckley quickly stepped in to manage expectations regarding the update’s overall scope. Clarifying the studio’s timeline, Buckley noted that Pocketpair does not plan to spend an entire year developing Version 1.1. Consequently, players should expect focused, quality-of-life additions and localized feature adjustments rather than massive expansions like new continents or substantial level-cap increases.
Community feedback for the upcoming patch has largely focused on base-building adjustments and economy refinements. Among the most popular requests are options to expand the construction radius of the Palbox to accommodate larger settlement layouts. Players are also asking for functional sinks for surplus resources, including the ability to convert excess Ancient Technology Points into standard Technology Points once late-game trees are fully unlocked.
Pocketpair has not yet set a firm release date or window for Version 1.1, as the project remains in its earliest design phases. However, the studio continues to maintain active post-launch support for the base game through regular hotfixes. In addition to ongoing core updates, the company is expanding the brand’s reach through adjacent releases, including the recent physical trading card game launch and the upcoming mobile spin-off, Palworld Online.
