Black Myth Zhong Kui just got a new trailer showcasing what we can expect from the gameplay, it is 15 minutes in length and it is exactly what we could expect, another impressive game in the making. The souls like vibes have become something a bit more different this time, because combat seems more quick and responsive than other games we have seen before. There is a ton of cool little details of Chinese folklore sprinkled through the trailer, and honestly I wanna see where they take this new Black Myth entry. So far, I would say the game looks pretty good.
Black Myth Zhong Kui gets trailer
For people who aren’t into hard games, I feel this one might be a hard pass because as always, games like this are made for the gamers who seek challenge. I have a feeling, however, that the skills you might have gotten out of Black Myth Wukong will carry over to this one, but at the same time I feel like it will be even harder. Black Myth Zhong Kui is yet another game that will depict more of China’s vast mythology, this time its the turn of Zhong Kui, a deity that specializes in vanishing evil spirits.
As we have seen with Black Myth Wukong, this will be a tale about his own growth and events that shaped the character into becoming a legendary being. Games like Black Myth Zhong Kui shows us that games can be art that teaches some interesting cultural bits of the world that surround us, gaming has advanced so much that it might be one of the best ways to depict mythology and stories because it is a more interactive medium than documentaries and movies. However, one shouldn’t believe the story goes as Black Myth Zhong Kui represents it, games need to be cool and flashy too.
