Loopquarium just got a new trailer showcasing some gameplay of the new monster collection roguelite. While not precisely a monster game, it does have many similarities to what one would expect from the genre. Mainly, the idea of assembling a team of creatures that can take on challenges is there, and there’s different builds for teams you can do. This is quite the curious PC exclusive, made yet again by an indie team, and while roguelites are simple to produce we gotta appreciate when a new one pops up as there is a chance something new is made. However I understand the genre fatigue.
Loopquarium gets revealed
We still don’t know many details about the game, such as the price, or when will it come out. It will definitely remain a PC exclusive because this is the easiest platform to release games for. There is many game modes planned, at least from what the description mentions, Zen mode being a very interesting one for gamers who just wish to chill and have zero combats. This is great if you are looking for something simple where you just amass a fish army, perhaps it can even be good to get to learn some synergies too.
Loopquarium is an indie, which means that it needs all the support and visibility it can get, many games release constantly coming from small and huge developers. The ones that often end up selling the most are games coming from the big studios that are filled with tons of predatory practices that even seep into full paid releases. Not to mention that said paid releases are getting more and more expensive as time goes on providing less quality than previous entries coming from more limited systems. If you are interested in Loopquarium, perhaps you should give it a wishlist spot.
