The first post-launch content update for IO Interactive’s 007 First Light is available right now, bringing whole new Tac-Sim missions along with a string of new contents geared to increase the overall playability of the James Bond title in many ways. The third person action adventure title’s first content update comes with two new Escalation missions, three new weapons, plus a new outfit, along with an enormous patch that includes fixes and improvements for “over 200 issues” in 007 First Light, as reported by the community in general and various internal playtesters.
The patch is a huge 24 GB on the Playstation 5, while the PC and Xbox Series X|S versions will only require a lean 4 GB of update.
The new three tier Escalation missions that will test your 007 skills are named ‘The Workshop’ and ‘Extraction Avenues’ while the new weapons are the Stormberg 50’cal handgun, the DRX-2 Machine Pistol and the DRS-7 Silenced SMG and all of them are likely to add new flairs into the game’s shootouts.
Check out the full patch notes in the official website, which ranges from various crash fixes (mostly on the Series S console) to lots of general gameplay fixes along with mission-specific-fixes, UI and HUD adjustments, fixes related to the game’s TacSim mode and many more.
In other news of 007 First Light, IO Interactive has officially removed Denuvo from the game recently which means it’s practically DRM-free right now and that’s a great news for all players cause Denuvo is notoriously known for affecting overall performance and introducing various quirks and restrictions into the experience.
007 First Light came out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on 27th May and swiftly became the highest rated James Bond title in the last 15 years, or even more. Selling past over 3 million copies in it’s first month and garnering a highly impressive 87 Metacritic score, developer IO Interactive’s 007 First Light shines vividly and is certainly the best Bond game in several decades.
