All players in Forza Horizon 6 will receive a free supercar in the form of the 2021 Mclaren Sabre, which will be distributed “once access to The Eliminator has been restored, and can be redeemed from the in-game Message Center (under the ‘Gifts’ tab),” the devs stated in a recent official blog post. The free sportscar will be provided as a sort of compensation for players after the removal of The Eliminator online mode due to a recent credits bug as the developers are currently working on a fix to address the issue.
The Eliminator mode is one of the several Horizon Play events in Forza Horizon 6 where players race against each other in a sort of last-man-standing stipulation, but after a strange exploit was found that led to many players basically farm millions of credits from the mode, the Eliminator was promptly disabled by the devs. And while Playground Games have confirmed that the mode will return in Forza Horizon 6 in the near future, all players are set to receive the Mclaren Sabre as a compensation.
The devs have also made it clear that players who were found to participate in the exploit won’t be given any sort of punishment or bans whatsoever as the error was mainly from the side of the game itself. And instead, those players’ accounts will be restored to a maximum of 10 million Credits:
“Players found participating in the exploit will have their accounts restored to a maximum of 10 million credits. As this error was on our side, no further action will be taken.
We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we take steps to preserve the integrity of the in-game economy.”
