Nvidia stops caring about gaming GPU earnings in 2026

Nvidia is done with us, as evidenced by the current slashing of the money generated by gaming GPUs metric from their financial reports. This comes to the surprise of nobody, since they have pretty much done what they can to sideline the gaming community because they can pump useless hardware to a tech sector that has zero idea about tech itself. This will be catastrophic for people who want to get into PC gaming, but more importantly, it will be even more catastrophic for e-waste generation too. Gaming is pretty much dead for Nvidia, and many of us were the reason the company even survived.

Nvidia treasons gamers

They have already decided they want to be those who support “AI” to get the most out of the current fad, and it seems that things are looking good for their pockets. However, those who have been smart might have noticed that all fads eventually end, and when the “AI” bubble pops, it will be sending some huge shock waves through the entire tech sector. Nvidia should have left this fad be, unfortunately they care more about the money than they care about the people as with any company.

Regardless, its not like there is anything interesting to play nowadays unless its some cool indie title, or playing stuff we have in the backlog for years. There is a ton of things we could be doing with our own hardware, as it won’t be dying anytime soon because it isn’t being misused like in an “AI” data center. Things will be quite chaotic in the years to come, and there does not seem to be a sign of PC gaming getting better anytime soon. The quicker we can deal with “AI” the better prices we will end up having if all of that faux industry collapses.
