The Uncharted series of games are some of the most iconic and influential titles across different eras and basically put Naughty Dog on the map as one of the most prolific developers in gaming. And while the last mainline Uncharted title came out nearly a decade ago with the remastered version of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, a recent claim has surfaced which states that another new title in the series is at works.
Back in 2025, it was reported that Naughty Dog is working on an unannounced title apart from Intergalactic which is being overseen by Neil Druckmann. And now it seems that mystery game is none other than a new Uncharted title, however it’s not been officially confirmed in any shape or form so it’s helpful to take the following with a grain of salt.
A new social media post from @AlexandreNGamR confidently states that Naughty Dog is developing another Uncharted title besides Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet which will reportedly hit the stores not till 2027, at the earliest. However, this is aligned with the cryptic photo that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy’s director, Shaun Escayg had posted alongside a tease “Research”, which had sent lots of fans and players alike speculating that it may indicate the developer is working on a new Uncharted title. While the prospect of a new Uncharted title is always great and exciting, but the possible release window of the game may stretch well into 2030 which is based on how dishearteningly long it takes for many AAA titles to reach the end of their development stages.
Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann had said earlier that Intergalactic will feature the “deepest gameplay” the studio has ever done which makes the upcoming title incredibly ambitious in the best possible way. But since only a sparse amount of release materials are available as of yet, there’s almost nothing to judge Druckmann’s statements on the game right now, however they do indicate that the combat mechanics of Intergalactic will probably have a lot of depth and versatility which would be really great.
Intergalactic has been in development for over four years and features a star studded cast of Tati Gabrielle from the Uncharted movie as protagonist Jordan A. Mun, and Kumail Nanjiani of Marvel’s Eternals as another in-game character called Colin Graves.
