The upcoming and hotly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced looks and feels pretty amazing with the modernized remake of the 2013 title bringing a slew of revamped gameplay mechanics and ironing out almost all of the annoyances that were present in the original version, it’s pretty much guaranteed to win over anyone who had played the original. However, a new rumor has now popped up which claims another remake might be in the pipeline which could be based on one of the earlier entries in the series.
Recently, Assassin’s Creed YouTube channel and streamer xj0nathan has stated on Twitter/X that in 2023, they heard from one of their contacts that “AC1” or the first Assassin’s Creed could be the next remake from Ubisoft. Also, according to Insider Gaming Weekly, it was mentioned that another remake of a much older Assassin’s Creed title is currently at works, however it’s unclear as to what that particular game could be.
But if Ubisoft is indeed planning another remake based on one of the earliest games in the series, it’s highly likely that they could bring back Assassin’s Creed 2 this time, complete with all the current-gen technological thrills and gameplay advancements. Cause as influential as the first Assassin’s Creed was, it was actually AC2 that took the series to global superstardom and put the franchise in the map, making the game quite possibly the most beloved and cherished title in the history of the series.
However, all eyes are now on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced which has an overhauled combat system that feels a whole lot more fluid and seamless while also featuring a more intuitive HUD with two mini-menus in each bottom corner which allows for seamless switching between the different types of weapons and items. The newly reworked combat system, along with multiple bonus story contents that weren’t part of the original release, are sure to be highlights in the modernized version of the iconic Black Flag.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is slated to be released on July 9th.
