Crimson Desert looks to be one of the most technically ambitious videogames in the current era of gaming, however, one of the things that still continue to worry many players is the overall experience they can get on the consoles as almost all of the gameplay footage released so far seems to be only from high-end PCs. And given the exceptionally high level of graphical fidelity and realism that’s on display, a lot of the player base on the consoles suspect Crimson Desert to be a less-than-stellar experience on those platforms and may even turn out to be way worse.
However, in a recent blog post, Crimson Desert’s PS5 Pro-specific features have been outlined which includes:
- PS5 Pro’s High CPU Frequency Mode makes ‘viewing and moving through the world as seamless as possible’
- PS5 Pro’s recent PSSR upgrade ‘makes it possible for Crimson Desert to hit 4K resolutions at higher frame rates, and its raytracing capabilities making lighting effects more realistic and natural’
Plus, there are additions to the DualSense controller-based haptic feedbacks as well:
“The DualSense additions work to bring you closer to Kliff and help deliver a lot of information, especially in tense combat situations where enemies can be all around you.”
The detailed blog post is sure to add a lot of credibility on Crimson Desert’s overall gameplay experience on the consoles so it can help ease the minds of lots of players right now.
Also, the upcoming Crimson Desert’s world may just be the biggest to have ever come out of gaming, on this side of GTA 6, of course. But it’s significantly larger than the world we saw in Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 and about twice as big as Bethesda’s Skyrim, which is a mighty impressive feat on many accounts.
Crimson Desert’s official PC system requirements have been revealed couple days ago so check out what you’ll need to run the game at both minimum and recommended quality settings.
Crimson Desert is slated to be released on 19 March 2026 for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows and Mac OS.
