Project Shadowglass gets an amazing gameplay trailer in 2026

Project Shadowglass

Project Shadowglass has a very interesting aesthetic and it makes me curious to see how it feels to actually play it for prolonged periods of time. A new trailer has dropped showcasing the game and how it plays out, and its pretty much Thief with a new aesthetic filter. I don’t want to be dismissive of the game by saying this, its an impressive work so far and I think the idea of making it look like this is phenomenal, but some people will definitely complain if that’s the whole gimmick behind the game. I’m sure that the studio behind this one has an ace up their sleeve however.

Project Shadowglass looks stunning

A pixel perfect open world, at least from what I can grasp, with day and night cycles and a ton of stuff to loot and steal from everyone. This is definitely what we need if a new Thief game ever dropped but that will probably never happen considering how badly that series is doing. We can trust on indie developers to give us what that series was meant to be, and if it is the fate of Project Shadowglass to deliver something like this, so be it.

Quality from indie studios is something that people shouldn’t underestimate, as there is a ton of things to analyze and compare in the medium. While it is true that not many indie games make it, because there is a ton of games, triple A titles are struggling in every front lately, being the price, quality, or even basic decency towards the people who work on them. I don’t want to see triple A games fail but that’s the fate for them if they don’t step up quality wise and provide people with more job positions rather than more layoffs. Project Shadowglass is coming soon so, time will tell.
