Falling Frontier just got a new trailer showcasing some gameplay for this new PC RTS game, the combat looks quite complex and fans of the genre might be able to appreciate that. This is all happen in close combat mode, which let’s people assume that there will be multiple modes and strategies behind this game. One has to mention that Hooded Horse, who are known for their big strategy games filled with quality and passion, also published this one too. While looking at the publisher, or even at the developer isn’t a guarantee that the game will be good or not, I’m willing to believe this one is gonna be good.

We still don’t have a proper date for when this game will release, so we will have to wait a bit more to receive an answer regarding this, but I’m very sure that somewhere in 2026 we might be able to play this new RTS game. Hooded Horse really has a knack for publishing tons upon tons of these games, and most of them are pretty good. It truly feels like they wish to have some sort of monopoly over the genre, considering it has been abandoned by triple A studios in favor of live service games.
Falling Frontier seems to be what fans of the RTS genre have been expecting for a long while, and provided this game is a good one it might ensure a revival for RTS games, maybe even making triple A companies develop some of those too. I miss the era of StraCraft, and if someone manages to kickstart some sort of revival then I would consider them as my heroes, whoever does it first will be the one that manages to take control over the genre.
