Developer Pearl Abyss has detailed how their upcoming Crimson Desert is going to look and play on both consoles with a wide range of performance benchmarks and resolutions ranging from the relatively less powerful Xbox Series S to the highly capable PS5 Pro. Moreover, the console specifications also provide “target performance” and Ray Tracing Qualities for each console, giving you a thorough idea of how Crimson Desert will look and run on the system you have so if you’re planning on playing the open world action RPG on any of the consoles, you can’t miss this.
However, there’s still no actual footage of Crimson Desert running on the consoles in different visual quality levels but hopefully Pearl Abyss provides it before the game’s release otherwise there will still be some amount of skepticism regarding how well the game will run on either the PS5s or the Xbox Series X|S.
The devs have also released specifications for the PC, Mac and ROG Xbox Ally on their Twitter/X page, so make sure to check those out too if you’re in those platforms.
Also, another aspect that will be greatly appreciated by many players is Crimson Desert is confirmed to be optimized at launch which means if you meet the game’s official system requirements, you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a great time playing.
Also, the upcoming Crimson Desert’s world may just be the biggest to have ever come out of gaming, on this side of GTA 6, of course. But it’s significantly larger than the world we saw in Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 and about twice as big as Bethesda’s Skyrim, which is a mighty impressive feat on many accounts.
Crimson Desert’s official PC system requirements have been revealed couple days ago so check out what you’ll need to run the game at both minimum and recommended quality settings.
Crimson Desert is scheduled to release on March 20 and the PC version of the game has already reached a staggering three million wishlists on Steam.
