If you are a veteran Call of Duty player, the term skill based matchmaking is nothing new to you which has been a staple element in the multiplayer component of the series. But now, a part of the player base is speculating the presence of skill based damage in the game which means the higher your rank is in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the higher the damage ratings of your shots will be and needless to say, it brings a highly unfair and unnecessary element in the game and is basically something that no player would possibly want.
The inclusion of skill based damage was claimed by one of Reidboyy’s posts where he stated: “People really tried to call me crazy every time I tell them skill based damage is 100% real and in the game.”
However, Treyarch Design Director Matt Scronce has recently responded to the claim and has provided a clear answer which should put all doubts to rest regarding Skill Based Damage in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Here’s what he said:
“I can promise you, there’s nothing behind the scenes modifying any of our damage values.”
That’s about as official of an answer that we can possibly get so if for some reason you’re seeing contrasting damage outputs compared to other players in the same lobby as of yours, it’s probably cause of ping or netcode related issues and nothing else.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone are currently gearing up for Season 3 which will bring tons of fresh new contents that will add a new lease of life into both titles. The incoming Seasonal update will kick off from April 2 and is set to bring Nine new and returning multiplayer maps plus new Zombies content on it’s first day, new round-based Zombie map during mid-Season, six new weapons and many more. The upcoming Season will offer more of what you’ve loved from Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 although it may not convert anyone into being a fan.
