Looks like the upcoming WWE 2K26 is aiming to stand apart from it’s predecessor WWE 2K25 along with the rest of the games in the series in more exciting and unexpected ways as according to the game’s most recent trailer, there will be extensive settings related to AI and various ‘Start of Match Actions’ which will add a layer of realism and immersion in the game that’s unlike anything we’ve seen from the franchise.
The AI behavior in the earlier titles in the series all successfully depicted the superstars in the way you see them in the actual show but WWE 2K26 takes it all a bit further with it’s extensive AI customization features that provide you with even greater control and even let you decide how one (or several) particular wrestler will behave in the game.
Then there’s also the AI Sequences system in WWE 2K26’s Create-A-Moveset section that allows players to put together a series of signature moves to direct the AI on using a particular wrestler in a specific way. Which means technically, you’ll be able to make your own version of The Undertaker that can be brutally difficult to beat, if you set the AI accordingly. However it remains to be seen how the game will implement the advanced AI customization in real time which can only be known after WWE 2K26 actually comes out.
Furthermore, the AI in the upcoming title will deliver far more natural and authentic animations in matches which can result in a vastly satisfying gameplay experience in more ways than one.
Another cool new feature in WWE 2K26 is the “Start of Match Actions” where wrestlers will perform various sequences such as offering handshakes, exchanging blows, appealing to the crowd in crucial moments and more. These help to add more realism and a genuine sense of authenticity in the game that can enhance the overall experience in many ways.
WWE 2K26 is slated to release on March 13 worldwide and you can pre-order your favorite edition of the game right now across all platforms.
