If there’s ever a game that really deserves as much graphical horsepower as possible, it’s the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6, as anyone who has played Skyrim will agree that if it was made with a much more powerful engine such as the Cryengine, it’d fit the game a whole lot more. However, the inevitable Elder Scrolls 6 would be bringing it’s gorgeous and lush open world with extremely lifelike and photorealistic visuals as the game would be powered by Bethesda’s Creation Engine 3 which is a more advanced version of the game engine that powered Starfield.
During a recent interview with the Kinda Funny podcast, Todd Howard confirmed that The Elder Scrolls 6 is being built with the latest version of their Creation Engine:
“That’s going to power Elder Scrolls VI and beyond… We have a game style that we really, really like, and I think people expect from us. There’s a lot of innovation to be done there still, so that when you step into a world, you feel like you’re experiencing it really for the first time, a game like that. I think we’re happy with where it’s headed right now. That’s what I could say.”
He also said that the game would see Bethesda returning to their unique creative direction which was absent in both Starfield and Fallout 76:
“We do have a certain style that we like and that our fans like that we want to get better and better at. I think in some ways Fallout 76 and Starfield are a little bit of a creative detour from that classic Elder Scrolls, Fallout, a Skyrim or a Fallout 3 or a Fallout 4, Oblivion, where you’re exploring a world in a certain way. And as we come back to Elder Scrolls 6 that we’re doing now, we’re coming back to that classic style that we’ve missed, that we know really really well.”
Besides GTA 6, another game that can easily generate a monumental level of hype and anticipation, for all the good reasons, is none other than The Elder Scrolls 6 which is the successor of Skyrim, a genre-redefining experience that’s widely and rightfully considered as one of the greatest games of all time. When Skyrim first came out, it basically rewrote and redefined the rules of the Open World RPG gameplay sandbox and players and fans alike would expect The Elder Scrolls 6 to do the same or even more when it comes out.
