One of the most acclaimed releases on the Playstation 5 in 2025, Death Stranding 2 is set to arrive on the PC platform on March 19 and that too, with added features which will also make their way to the PS5 as well.
The announcement came from the recent State of Play event from Sony which has also outlined some of the new technical upgrades that you’ll experience on the PC version of Death Stranding 2 including uncapped framerates (although cutscenes will still be locked to 60 FPS), support for upscaling and Frame Generation, Ultrawide monitor support, including 21:9 Ultra Widescreen for gameplay and in-game cutscenes for both PC and PS5, plus up to 32:9 Super Ultra Widescreen exclusively for PC.
Furthermore, Death Stranding 2 on PC will also support DualSense wireless controller along with the usual Mouse and Keyboard combo plus 3D Audio via Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound and Windows Sonic if you use Headphones. All in all, players on the PC will be able to experience Death Stranding 2 with all the latest technological bells and whistles along with whole new modes and gameplay features that will be available on the PS5 as well. More details about the bonus features will be revealed sometimes in March so it’s best to keep fingers crossed till then.
Death Stranding 2 on the PS5 was also one of the best looking titles of last year with stellar art direction and some of the most dazzling graphical showcases in recent years. What’s even more impressive is that it didn’t need any Ray Tracing to achieve it’s status as one of the most visually rich experiences of 2025 so it’d be pretty great if the devs manage to bring some graphical advancements onto the PC like RT and even higher-res textures which would make Death Stranding 2 an even more visually arresting experience.
