And if you have, then the upcoming Marvel Maximum Collection will feel like a blast from the past as it brings back almost all the classic Marvel titles with new multiplayer flair, allowing your friends to join the fun which is what videogames are really all about.
The Marvel Maximum Collection is a bundle of 13 games that marks the return of all the 8-bit and 16-bit classic Marvel titles that many players have loved from their early days of gaming. The collection includes games like Captain America and the Avengers, Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage, Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety and the classic X-Men arcade game from 1992 along with several handheld titles as well. These classic titles will sport several additional features like Rollback Netcode and six-player co-op, along with the ability to rewind the onscreen action and save anytime you want. Plus there will also be cheat menus, a museum section along with multiple bonus features that are yet to be announced, overall it’s safe to say that if you’ve played some of the games back in the day, you’ll surely love Marvel Maximum Collection.
Brought to you by Limited Run Games in collaboration with Konami and Carbon Engine, Marvel Maximum Collection is expected to arrive this year on Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, however a release date is yet to be announced.
As wonderful as these classic collection of fun arcade titles are, it would have been even better if Marvel could bring back the X-Men Legends series of action RPGs along with the Marvel Ultimate Alliance titles in remastered visuals cause those are some of the most memorable and cherished games from Marvel that have been lost in time.
