Dobbel Dungeon just released a while ago, and it got a new trailer for those who are curious and play on PC, the game looks very unique and its quite refreshing to see something done in a different style for once. Fans of RPGs, and even table top RPGs should consider jumping into this game because it does include some very interesting mechanics that makes it feel like something entirely new for some. There’s a certain familiarity this game brings for people who have played table top games like Dungeons and Dragons, or even Call of Cthulhu, so you should get in if you love some dice action.
Dobbel Dungeon looks wholesome
Those who might be familiar with games like Dokapon Kingdom might also enjoy being able to play Dobbel Dungeon, the art style is quite reminiscent when it comes to the cozy and wholesome aesthetic that many people seem to like these days. The 3D models of all characters in the game look rather charming and there was a clear effort in trying to achieve that pseudo diorama style that many seem to like despite it being niche. There’s games like Fantasian who implement actual dioramas to design the maps but making games that way are deemed expensive under the system we live in.
Hopefully Dobbel Dungeon can kickstart an era of creative design and clear identity, as this was a game that caught my eye like no other in current times. There has been many awards Dobbel Dungeons has collected since 2025, such as the Indiego Award from 2025, where this game was the winner of that event. More people should be aware that this game needs to be checked out and I would be rather sad to see it becoming obscure like many indie games end up becoming. You should either get this one or wishlist it.
