The Witcher 4

As the whole world is patiently waiting for Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6, developer CD projekt’s The Witcher 4 is steadily shaping up to be one of the most ambitious as well as anticipated titles in the post-GTA 6 era, in more ways than one. And according to a LinkedIn post, the cinematic animator for Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 has joined development duties for The Witcher 4 which will definitely add more luster into the overall production value of the game.

This also hints at the immense drive for achieving as much state-of-the-art level of quality as possible which could very well help elevate The Witcher 4 to a level of artistic flair that’s perhaps unseen in gaming, yet.

Of course, it’s not really new for CD Projekt as both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 was much ahead of their times when it comes to sheer production value ranging from lifelike cinematics to using motion capture technologies. And it’s only natural for The Witcher 4 to push the boundaries for videogame presentation even further than what’s currently even conceivable. Which means in all probability, The Witcher 4 is going to be way more than just a great game but a sheer work of art, when it comes out at some point in the future.

The Witcher 4 currently doesn’t have a release date and is not expected before 2027 at least, but CD Projekt has showcased a tech demo featuring several graphical and gameplay-related features that’s going to make their ways to the final game. And even if you’re not a fan of the series, you should still watch it cause it shows The Witcher 4 is all set to push the boundaries of videogames as we know it.

Being made in the mighty Unreal Engine 5, The Witcher 4 is also supposed to raise the envelope of realism in videogame visuals far more than what’s possible right now, something that’s evident in the tech demo which came out in last year.
