One of the major ways the upcoming WWE 2K26 will stand out from the rest of the titles in the popular wrestling game series is how it’s DLCs will be rolled out and as opposed to the previous games, all post-launch content for the latest WWE title will be released through a Ringside pass which will also provide bonus incentive for all players.
And naturally, there is a fair amount of confusion regarding how these Ringside passes will work in WWE 2K26 like whether you’ll be able to unlock your favorite wrestlers right away or not, what game modes need to be played in order to get the unlockables and more, and 2K Sports has now detailed all the answers to these questions by providing a comprehensive guide on how DLCs are going to work in the game in their official website.
Similar to Battle passes in many other games out there, the Ringside pass in WWE 2K26 allows players to earn XP across all offline game modes and introduces a total of 60 free tiers and 40 premium tiers.
“Every player will have access to the free track of the Ringside Pass, which features 60 rewards across 40 tiers and some of those rewards featuring bundles of content. To unlock content, players will collect RXP by simply playing matches across most game modes, so long as they have an online connection. Wins will grant more RXP, and completing challenges, some repeatable, and others via one-time milestone rewards also earns extra RXP for the opportunity to level up even faster,” 2K Sports states.
“As players progress through each level, unlocked items, such as VC, MyFACTION Packs, MFP, Island banners, etc, can be claimed while continuing to progress through the next level.”
“For those who have purchased the premium track via the Ringside Premium Pass, players will be able to earn additional content, including the new DLC Superstars, CAS Parts, Island taunts, Personas, and more. That means 60 additional rewards for a total of 120 across the free and premium tracks.”
The Ringside pass for WWE 2K26 will arrive in different ‘seasons’ across the game’s life cycle and the first season will be release on the game’s launch day which is March 6 (for players with early access) along with five others planned for the following months. Season 2 is about to commence on April, Season 3 on June, Season 4 from July, Season 5 on September and Season 6 will start from October. However the contents of the Ringside passes for each season is yet to be announced and will possibly be in the next few weeks.
WWE 2K26 also sports an even bigger roster of superstars and wrestlers than it’s predecessor, going over 400 playable characters in total encompassing both modern day era and the classic eras of WWE.
