During the recent State of Play event, the upcoming 007 First Light from IO Interactive got a new story trailer which laid out the overall tone and direction of the game, and what it’s like to play as a young and inexperienced James Bond. The trailer also highlights that despite starring a whole new Bond, 007 First Light will tick all the boxes of a massive Bond action adventure experience that everyone expects from any form of entertainment medium there is.
In the new trailer, there’s plenty of intriguing story beats, interesting character work and a whole lot of high-stakes, spy action ranging from both stealth based and regular third person shooting gameplay which clearly suggest that 007 First Light will provide a varied and enjoyable experience for all players. There’s also a fair bit of melee combat on display which means Bond will be able to easily move in and out of any kind of combat situations in the game, making for a more replayable gameplay experience.
The upcoming 007: First Light boasts an impressive, star studded cast of Dexter: Original Sin’s Patrick Gibson as the new James Bond, Fear the Walking Dead’s Lennie James as Bond’s mentor John Greenway, Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Moneypenny and Noémie Nakai as Miss Roth.
Also, check out the game’s final PC System Requirements to get a clear idea on how the upcoming title will look and run on your system. The visuals look pretty crisp, detailed and hopefully be optimized to run well enough on most systems out there.
