A new Lego Batman game just came out, Legacy of the Dark Knight, which is one of the most ambitious Lego titles to this date when it comes to functions and things to do. According to the people at TT Games, it seems that this new PC entry will also not have the ability to connect with other players and play online. Cooperative mode will only be there for those who decide to play locally, such as family members or close friends. On the upside I believe this will foster more needed physical connections between parents and their kids, but it would have been so neat if we could have both.
New Lego Batman game still remains cool
Coming in May 29th of 2026, this new entry in the Lego Batman series will feature new playable characters such as Catwoman and Nightwing, which were things players were requesting for quite a while now. The Lego series of games from different franchises have always been extremely popular between all ages, I can still remember the legendary PS2 titles that had tons of content to them. Branching into other franchises might perhaps be one of the smartest decisions the Lego brand has made, and if it wasn’t for their expensive toy prices, many more would buy them.
Legacy of The Dark Knight will focus primarily in the open world aspects, but playing alongside other player will make the enjoyment grow further because two heads in one game are better than one. Cooperation is integral for the growth of every gamer, if we only focused on the competitive aspect perhaps we wouldn’t grow as much and be at the top of our game. If you are interested, keep in mind this release will be rather expensive, so if the online component was something you expected, perhaps you shouldn’t buy the game.
