Gem Miner TD is quite the amazing little roguelite PC game made with passion by a team of indie developers, it started as an Itch.io project in 2022 and 4 years later this game has scaled up tremendously in wild directions. If you are interested in trying out something unique, Gem Miner TD has an demo available for anyone to enjoy, the developers describe the demo as an excellent entry point in case you are in the fence when buying it. Mine your way through caves, make your own maze and collect resources while avoiding monsters from pushing you into lava.

One of the goals of the team behind this game is to combat all the slop that the bigger side of the industry is trying to put out, they want to make games that are remembered and feel soulful. This is a true indie team because they aren’t relying on a publisher to get the word for their game out so I believe it deserves to have a space and be recognized. Little games like this is what maintains the industry from falling apart under the weight of greed that many publishers have shown is through the years.
Your goal in Gem Miner TD is getting stronger, each material you collect can be combined to create buffs and ensure each run that you play becomes more powerful. This is the average formula of roguelites but what matters is the fact that the gameplay is very different, even strategy oriented if you ask me. This feels like a neat game that should have released many years ago, perhaps its due to the gameplay or its very simple aesthetic, but we have to understand that games are timeless.
