With covers for three different editions of the upcoming WWE 2K26 already out for a few days, the standard edition of the game’s cover art has been something that fans were speculating for, till now as WWE has just officially revealed the cover art of this year’s wrestling title and it’s none other than CM Punk. Also, WWE 2K26 is slated to release on March 13 worldwide and you can start pre-ordering your favorite edition of the game right now across all platforms.
CM Punk, who is also the current world heavyweight champion in WWE, is one of the senior superstars in the company along with one of the most accomplished performers in recent times which makes him a perfect fit to feature in the cover for this year’s WWE 2K26. Also, this marks the second time Punk had been in the cover for a WWE game which was WWE ’13 back in 2012, around a year before he had left the company after a dispute with Vince McMahon.
It was also previously confirmed that CM Punk is going to be the focus of the Showcase mode of WWE 2K26 and players will be able to recreate many memorable and pivotal matches from his long career. There will also be four new type of matches where one will be completely new (the Dumpster Match) to the series while three match types will be returning from much older entries of the series which are the Inferno Match, I Quit Match and the 3-Stages-of-Hell match.
The pricing for all the four editions of WWE 2K26 has also been revealed today, with the standard edition costing $69.99 and the most value-packed and expensive Monday Night War Edition coming at $149.99.
Also, the open world Island Mode which debuted in last year’s WWE 2K25 will also be returning with a brand new storyline that’s sure to be at least as engaging and memorable as it has been in the previous title.
