Battle Brothers has been quite the successful game, and we can see this fact thanks to the new update that dropped for the game recently. Reaching version 1.5.1.8, it feels as if this were some sort of Minecraft situation, and perhaps the developers should check out that numbering system they use cause it implies that new version come out rather frequently on analysis. It seems that this update is very big however, so I felt like it was worth it to cover and give some boost in popularity to a game I believe deserves more recognition. Next up are the big changes.
Battle Brothers gets bigger
The team behind it has always been keen on taking ideas that you leave on reviews, so if you wanna get into the game make sure to leave a review and tell them what you would like them to implement for a next update. Update 1.5.1.8 includes a ton of fixes and optimizations, for example, the game is now able to support more than 2GB of RAM, this is quite an old game from 2017, and being an indie title it used a very limited pool of resources to draw graphics and compute what is happening with the game at all. This is a huge change that fixes many issues in Battle Brothers.
Of course, they still need to focus on improving compatibility with multiple systems, but considering it can run just fine on Linux there shouldn’t be more worries, this is a game that does not deserve to be tainted by other platforms and will thrive on PC. There has been some crashes fixed with the game too, such as when you try to kill Flesh Golems with a riposte attack when they execute some specific moves, which might as well be some error when calculating damage formulas. Battle Brothers is a rather complex strategy game, perhaps you should give it a try.
