Skate Story just got an amazing release trailer showcasing the gameplay of this new skateboarding game for PC, the concept is wild in itself as you are traveling hell trying to save countless souls. Not only do you travel through hell but you also face fearsome demons along the way that stand in the way of your journey, your tricks won’t be enough to deal with them and there’s more skills you require to stand your ground. You start your journey as a weak and frail skateboarder, but you slowly end up gaining more experience to discover what lays in the deepest layers of hell itself.
Skate Story is innovative
Breaking the usual Tony Hawk Pro Skater formula of sports games, Skate Story brings us something unique that has never been done before. It is amazing to see how they could make something so bizarre out of something so mundane like skateboarding, you would never see something like this in a triple A game. As always, indie developers keep showing us that trying to go for wild ideas might be better to stay on what has been done before when it comes to making new franchises. Perhaps triple A studios need to take a hint on trying to downscale production costs and keep things simple.
You play as a demon made of glass, but you slowly become stronger as you traverse hell and gain new skill such as ollies, kickflips, and grinding on terrain too. There’s also a big focus on narrative going on with the title, something that might definitely be a first in the genre of skateboarding games since most of these titles are often sports related. If you are interested in this new release but can’t afford it right now, it would be could if you could place Skate Story in your wishlist instead.
