The annual Pokémon GO Community Day celebration for the end of the year has been officially announced. This event offers trainers a brief chance to obtain shiny versions of Pokémon highlighted throughout 2025. The weekend event will take place on December 6 and 7. The critical activity hours for increased encounters will be just three hours each day, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time. During this limited time, the likelihood of finding a shiny Pokémon will increase significantly from about 1 in 500 to around 1 in 25.
The featured Pokémon will be divided over the two days. Each listed Pokémon will also have access to their exclusive Featured Attacks, which were originally available during their respective Community Days in 2025. On Saturday, December 6, trainers will see Karrablast, Shelmet, Vanillite, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Pawmi. On Sunday, December 7, the focus will shift to another group, including Solosis, Pikipek, Jangmo-o, Rookidee, and Quaxly. This two-day plan encourages dedicated players to commit time across the entire weekend to catch specific targets.
Sunday’s event has an added twist with the return of Flabébé. Following the established region-locking policy, trainers will find different flower colors based on their location. The Red Flower variant will be more common in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The Blue Flower will appear in the Asia-Pacific region, while the Yellow Flower will be found in the Americas. Collectors face an additional challenge with a brief 10-minute period at the end of each day’s main event. From 4:50 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, four specific Pokémon—Machop, Eevee, Totodile, and Ralts—will also have increased Community Day rates, requiring quick action for those looking for their shiny forms.
All featured Pokémon will be available in the wild from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on both days. However, only during the focused three-hour window can players take advantage of the higher shiny encounter rates and get the special moves. This December event offers a vital opportunity for trainers to complete their shiny collections before the year ends.
