007 First Light has been awaited for a while now, but it seems that a new statement released by the studio shows us that it will be delayed towards next year. According to the developers of the game, it is now set to release in May 27th of 2026, this is because they want to ensure everything is running smoothly, and considering how things are shaping up for the industry regarding hardware prices it is safe to assume they want to optimize the game. Delays are often a good thing because they help the game feel better on launch, compared to the average triple A game.
007 First Light delayed
We will just have to wait for a few months more to get our hands on it, and it seems that this will truly be a next generation James Bond experience, perhaps even more popular than what we have decades ago on the Nintendo 64. James Bond fans are very dedicated people who are willing to wait some more to get yet another masterpiece they can play for years to come. 007 First Light promises an immersive world filled with a ton of references to the franchise and things to do, and it might be one of the most ambitious games to date for the studio making it.
The game is fully playable, so it won’t be cancelled, but if something ever happens there’s always a chance a build from this cancelled game can resurface and be played without any single issues. I miss the time when impartial builds were found for games, and we don’t seem to be having such a thing like this for newer games anymore due to the culture of being against preservation. If you are a James Bond fan, 007 First Light might be a game you want to add to your wishlist or even pre-purchase.
