Tavern Keeper has released on Steam after some grueling years of development. Making games is a very hard thing to do, especially when it comes to indie development on PC, however this studio is rather popular. They are the ones who created Game Dev tycoon, which was a highly successful tycoon game that scratched the itch of many gamers. The weirdness and originality persists in Tavern Keeper however and despite the graphics that might turn some people down its a pretty good game made with love. If you are interested in knowing more about this new decade old title, keep reading after the break.
Tavern Keeper is out
Those who enjoy tycoon or simulation games should try out this game, a trailer showcases some interesting gameplay. This game, despite being cooked for more than 10 years is still in early access, however the amount of content makes it feel as if it was a full 1.0 release. This means that in the future, this game will get tons of support that will make it grow into something else that might not even be what many people expected. This can be good or bad, the good things about early access is that it helps players decide how a game should go, however it also kills creativity with too much polish.
Back in the day, you only had one chance to release a game, so you had to give your best to appeal to as much people as you could, but you needed to focus on a certain group. Now games are rather unfocused in their direction, mainly due to the fact that pushing updates is very easy and with some clicks you have changed an entire game. While you can revert changes, this new power the industry gave us is something we have to use wisely, games are art, they shouldn’t be changed on the fly, I bet Tavern Keeper will remain faithful however.
