The PC version of the 2024 action adventure game Stellar Blade has just earned the title of being the best-selling PlayStation exclusive on PC, surpassing other AAA heavyweights such as Marvel’s Spider-Man, God of War, Ghost of Tshushima and more. Developer Shift Up has also released a chart (as spotted by Genki) comparing the biggest PlayStation-exclusive games on the PC platform where it’s clear that Stellar Blade has managed to engage a peak player count of 192,000 at launch on Steam while the next title on the list, Ghost of Tshushima, has only reached a total of 77,000 players on Valve’s platform.
The numbers conclusively demonstrate that Stellar Blade is now officially the best selling Playstation port ever, which is a mighty impressive feat especially considering the games it outperformed and how little hype it had compared to the other ones. The list also shows Stellar Blade having a staggering lead of 2.5 times over Ghost of Tshushima, the second highest title among the six games.
Stellar Blade’s PC version also came with a range of bonus additions such as unlocked framerate, AI upscaling via Nvidia’s DLSS 4 and AMD’s FSR 3, both Japanese and Chinese voiceovers, ultrawide display supports, higher resolution environment textures, and DualSense support for haptic feedback and trigger effects. The game also has a bonus Boss battle in the PC version, along with 25 new in-game outfits for the main character. The PC port of Stellar Blade has also received 3 New Epilogues at the end of September which reveal the fates of the main characters of the game.
In other news of Stellar Blade, the game’s sequel or Stellar Blade 2 is expected to go multiplatform which also indicates the possibility of Stellar Blade releasing for the Xbox systems as well as the Switch 2 at some point. Plus, a Stellar Blade x Silent Hill crossover is also teased, indicating even more exciting contents in the pipeline for the 2024 action title.
