Vampire Survivors

Vampire Survivors is getting a crossover with Balatro and it is truly an amazing thing. Balatro is a wildly successful game that has taken the PC scene by storm, quickly taking over any record set by any previous game in the market. The indie scene is huge, so crossovers like this are quite important to boost games that are already big, or even help newer titles get some footing. Crossovers are only special when few of them exists, but nowadays it seems that nobody really understands that crucial fact to keep them fresh. It is crazy that a Balatro crossover happened, with Vampire Survivors nonetheless.

Vampire Survivors meets Balatro

Literally speaking, Jimbo is here, and there will be tons of joker action going on. This feels like a match made in heaven since both games have a background related to gambling when you analyze it. The developer behind Vampire Survivors worked at a casino back then, so he applied a ton of his ideas to ensure the addictive loop remains in his game. In the case of Balatro, the developer was approached by people who worked at a casino to buy off the game, thankfully love won in the game and he refused.

It makes sense, Balatro is rather addictive, and there’s a ton of games that are unable to match its addictive values, I would dare to say that Vampire Survivors struggles in that regard surprisingly. Now that both have crossed over together, it feels like everything makes sense, the craziness of Balatro does match the craziness of Vampire Survivors and both are also games you can get for cheap, the best bucks spent in your life even. If you are curious, this update is totally free, so go and get your game updated if you wanna try out something new with some crazy power ups.

Playground Games Confirms 15-to-20 Hour Campaign for Fable Reboot Playground Games has confirmed that the upcoming Fable reboot will feature a mainline story lasting between 15 and 20 hours. Speaking during a group press session at Gamescom 2026, associate game director Will Kennedy outlined the scope of the project, stating that the central questline is paired with a similar 15-to-20-hour block of side quests and open-world exploration. Beyond authored content, the developers emphasized that the title’s simulation and life systems allow for indefinite play depending on player investment. Full coverage of the interview context can be found in Polygon’s developer Q&A. This targeted duration keeps the reboot in line with the structure of Lionhead Studios' original trilogy rather than the massive scale of modern role-playing games. The 2004 original averaged roughly 12.5 hours for its main path, while Fable II and Fable III clocked in at approximately 13 and 13.5 hours respectively. By keeping the core path concise, Playground Games appears focused on density and narrative pacing rather than padding out the experience with mandatory filler. Community reception to the announcement has leaned positive, particularly among veteran players who prefer tightly structured campaigns over 100-hour commitments. As discussed in a active Reddit community thread, many players welcomed the focused runtime, noting that the series' signature alignment shifts and choice-driven paths naturally encourage multiple playthroughs. The game’s optional activities will include property ownership, local employment, and dynamic NPC interactions, extending gameplay well past the main story credits. Following previous delays, Fable is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
