Tin Lord seems to be shaping up to be a return to the classic Strategy PC game formula, if the trailer is any indication of that. There’s a ton of elements that feel reminiscent to the older days of gaming, or even of the gaming era happening in the early 2000s. Indie developers keep making some games that really are worth more than the majority triple A studios produce. So we have to ensure that they get the visibility they deserve for all the effort that is put into them, LegionSword has experience in the industry with another indie title called Dispel, which you may wanna check out.
Tin Lord looks amazing
The graphics are crisp and beautiful, and the mechanics show feel very interesting, you are playing as the last surviving AI of a space ship, trying to give life to planets again after humans have been wiped out. Your task in this new strategy games is to reshape the world and fix it, by engaging with tons of gameplay elements such as tower defense and base building. There has been a surge of games like this in the indie market, each with their own distinct styles and ideas, and it truly feels amazing to be able to experience them all.
Thanks to the digital mediums of distribution, games like Tin Lord can succeed in an industry filled with giants, because you don’t have to create physical copies anymore. Therein lies an issue however, an issue of people not being able to own what they paid for unless there isn’t any sort of restrictive DRM on it. Hopefully the creator can consider putting their game on sale in GOG to ensure more people can find out about it because GOG allows you to own what you buy compared to other platforms available. Tin Lord is coming in February 12th of 2026.
