Stop Killing Games

Stop Killing Games might save gaming, literally, it is a game changer that will bring you the ability to ideally host your own online game servers with the permission of the company. Today it was said that only 3% of signatures seem to be invalid so far, which is a huge thing because everyone speculated that the petition would fail due to everyone faking the process. People was smart however, and action might be taken once all votes have been properly checked, we are more than halfway through the virtual ballots to decide the future of gaming, and it seems that gamers will win by landslide.

Stop Killing Games is a victory for gamers

From your right to own digital games, to the fact that you might now be able to play them whenever you want, Stop Killing Games wants to provide people with the ability to have fun with games and preserve them too. Companies are able to implement the safeguards requested by the petition, and they would still keep generation tons of money, they would get even more if they do since this would be an act in good faith. The gaming community would love to be able to reminisce the days of old MMO’s that have stopped existing.

While there is servers for games such as EverQuest that allow you to do so, the reality is that many private servers are shunned away by developers, without providing any reasonable sunset plan for players. This ends up with fans being saddened by the loss of their favorite game, and there would be a better way to handle it if companies were more open towards the fans that supported it in the first place. While this might be unlikely, there’s a big possibility that this is the future that awaits gamers, at least in Europe for now, but Stop Killing Games had global support too.
