In a statement made in good public spirit, The Pokémon Company apologized for a considerable technical glitch affecting the ongoing Paradox Tera Raid event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The new Seven-Star raids featuring version-exclusive Paradox Pokémon Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant are currently troubled by a bug that prevents trainers from entering battles that are hosted by players with the opposite game version.
This particular bug essentially stops the core online multiplayer function. While prior Paradox Tera Raid events finally made it possible for cross-version participation via an Internet connection, which is key for any player wanting to collect both version-exclusives, this event has not been made same. Because of this bug, Scarlet players cannot join Iron Valiant raids, and Violet players cannot battle Roaring Moon. Trainers are thus left to hunt for local trades or wait for the fix, which takes away from immediate access to the ongoing marquee battles of the event.
The event, which began on October 2 and is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, October 12, features Iron Valiant as a Fairy-Tera type and Roaring Moon as a Dragon-Tera type. These Seven-Star challenges require planned coordination in multiplayer due to their activating powerful mechanics via Protosynthesis and Quark Drive indirectly through weather or terrain effects.
Therefore, the glitch not only affects collecting issues but also adds further layers to an already tangled battle framework.
Their statement acknowledged the existence of the bug and expressed apologies for the inconvenience to the player base. However, the developers gave no official timetable for a possible resolution. This technical setback comes almost immediately after discontent from players surrounding the distribution event for Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon, putting even greater scrutiny on this most recent Paradox Raid event as far as general quality and reliability concerning the execution of post-launch content on the part of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
