As nineteenth season of Overwatch 2 officially begins, Blizzard Entertainment has launched a new Twitch Drop promotion. The campaign will last for a limited time and offer various free in-game cosmetics and items to players interested in simply watching certain community streams on Twitch. The spooky-themed Haunted Masquerade season is now active; therefore, all players interested in the free rewards should hurry and earn them, as the event ends early next month, allowing players only two weeks or so to satisfy all the requirements.
The promotion is based on cumulative hours watched, requiring a maximum of ten hours to be awarded all available items. The rewards are given out with respect to time, starting with one hour of viewing for the Fenrir Unchained Reaper Spray. Three hours unlock the Nightshade Sombra Name Card. The bigger prizes are reserved for longer viewing: one basic Loot Box is rewarded with six hours and an Epic Loot Box is awarded to anyone who hits the full ten hours.
These Twitch Drops are in addition to the much more extensive content introduced in Season 19. The patch implements a fully-formed new game mode and updates the Battle Pass. Among these season highlights are the skins for two Mythic-tier heroes, Divine Druid Lifeweaver and Cyber Fuel Junkrat. It is noteworthy that the Nightshade and Fenrir cosmetics offered as drops are related skins from prior releases, therefore giving contextual value to the sprays and name cards as complementary gifts for the collector.
To secure the items successfully, players need to ensure that their Twitch account is properly linked to their Battle.net account before watching streams in the Overwatch 2 category. All progress is automatically tracked, and after claiming through Twitch inventory, the rewards will reflect in the connected game account. The rewards campaign runs until November 9 at 11:58 PM Pacific Time, allowing the community a very easy way to get some in-game currency and items while showing support for their favorite Overwatch 2 streamers.
