Ninja Gaiden 4 already has a post release DLC in line titled ‘The Two Masters’ which includes several post-game story contents along with new weapons which will expand on the already amazing combat gameplay even further. Set after the events of Ninja Gaiden 4, the story of ‘The Two Masters’ will be playable as either the original protagonist of the series Ryu Hayabusa or the new protagonist Yakumo with both getting whole new weapons that will reflect these characters in unique ways.
Here’s the podcast where the devs talk about the upcoming DLC in Ninja Gaiden 4 and it’s contents:
The devs speak on the new DLC starting from the ‘outro’ part of the podcast above so you can skip to that section directly when watching the video.
The two weapons featured in the DLC look incredible and pretty much guaranteed to unleash a new range of flair on top of the already spectacular combat system in Ninja Gaiden 4. They also match both characters’ personalities, the weapons for Ryu have a much more precise but fast-paced feel while Yakumo’s weapon seem more aggressive and a bit flashier.
Beside the new weapons and post-game story contents, the upcoming DLC will also have a set of ‘post-game-challenges’ that’ll be completely separate from the Ninja Trials in the base game. Also, as the DLC takes place after everything that happens in Ninja Gaiden 4, the difficulty may be really hard right from the get-go as you’re expected to have learned the mechanics’ of the main game quite a bit so it may be helpful to keep that in mind.
The fourth entry in the legendary hack-n-slash series, Ninja Gaiden 4 is scheduled to arrive on October 21 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, and Game Pass. Both editions of the game, the $70 Standard Edition and the $90 Deluxe Edition are currently up for pre-order at multiple online retailers (including both Best Buy and Walmart) and pre-ordering Ninja Gaiden 4 (both physical and digital copies) will also unlock a special in-game costume named the Dark Dragon Descendant skin for Yakumo.
