Millenia will cease getting updates, the PC title that attempts to replace the popular Civilization series fails to meet expectations, leaving people disappointed and bewildered, wondering where all their money went since it felt like an absolute rug pull. Perhaps the publishing studio Paradox is to blame of the failure of this project, but who knows, we will never know. The only thing that we know is that we will just end with another half baked game that will die forgotten as a franchiser killer that never was. This is yet again a demonstration that you should tout your projects as “X-killer” or any sort of better than X game, it never ends well.
Millenia is highly disappointing
There was a ton of amazing ideas in the game, but all of them feel half baked and incomplete. There’s still tons of work to do, and perhaps the only ones who will care to do so is the modding community, if any exists of course. People are busy playing old games that were already enough, some aren’t even moving from the first Civilization entries due to its amazing mod potential. When something isn’t broken there’s honestly no need to give it a fix because things are just fine, Millenia however needs a ton of fixes and balancing patches it will never get.
It is truly sad that people can fall for this sort of broken games, especially after the game has been “finished”, its making Early Access projects look better by the day, because one can at least get the game for a way cheaper price. C Prompt Games seemed to have missed the mark, and now the only thing Millenia accomplishes is collecting some huge review bombs in record time, this announcement shouldn’t have been made in the first place if they really wanted to abandon the game.
