Blizzard is going to take a shot against modders this time, and it seems that they are quite interested in taking down some combat mods that they dislike. PC gamers who are familiar with World of Warcraft might know which popular mods they are referring to, and they are mostly those who do not implement any cheats into the game. Meanwhile, cheaters can run rampant by using illegal modifications that modify the experience entirely, and their punishment? Some weeks of banning in the best scenario, or none in most of them. Blizzard isn’t what they used to be as greed runs deep through them.
Blizzard does another unpopular thing
Not only was their attack against Turtle WoW highly unpopular amongst the community of gamers, but the fact that they are doing this now speaks volumes of their priorities. They want money, and they want to force players into playing the way executives want, not even game designers at Blizzard get to choose how things should be done because no good developer remains there anymore, they all left. As you may see, the triple A industry keeps collapsing and live service games are collapsing with it as we speak, while some may remain popular it is a matter of time until those disappear too.
Blizzard has been on a downward spiral for years and things keep getting worse for them, after the Activision Blizzard merger they have never recovered and greed has overrun the once innovative company that brought us games such as Diablo and Starcraft, along with the original Warcraft RTS games that spawned what we know today as World of Warcraft. Despite the massive success of World of Warcraft, things have changed a lot and the game is but a shadow of what things used to be, consumed by the greed that Blizzard lives by today.
