Developer Sucker Punch has revealed the overall file size and pre-load date of the upcoming Ghost of Yotei, which will arrive for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro on October 2, 2025. After the critical and commercial success of it’s predecessor Ghost of Tshushima, the anticipation is pretty high for Ghost of Yotei which aims to inherit everything that was great in Tsushima and take it all to new heights of awesomeness. And around 85 GB of size, the upcoming action adventure title also seems pretty generous in terms of total storage space which is definitely appreciated.
In a recent post on Twitter/ X, the devs have announced the size for the upcoming game which is 85.119 GB and you’ll be able to pre-load the title a week prior to its launch on September 25. To put the size in perspective, Ghost of Tshushima: Director’s Cut was around 60 GB, even with it’s Iki Island expansion which means both of these titles are reasonably lighter, especially compared to lots of other games released in recent times.
Currently developer Sucker Punch is showcasing several weapons that you’ll be using in Ghost of Yotei and the most recent is the Odachi which is a Katana-like sword that can reduce the distance between you and your foes pretty quickly. The weapon is not as fast but can deal devastating damage and is especially useful for crowd control situations, as shown in the trailer.
Ghost of Yotei features many more varieties of weaponry including bows, dual swords, Katana and more in spectacular and gory display of action that fits the historical backdrop of the game perfectly. The game also features a range of firearms that even comes with a bullet time effect, slowing down time to a crawl so you can line up your shots perfectly.
Combining photorealistic visuals with jaw-dropping art direction, Ghost of Yotei will look particularly gorgeous in the PS5 and more so in the PS5 Pro, bringing ancient Japan to life in breathtaking ways.
