Looks like we don’t have to wait for much longer to get our first look at the upcoming Wolverine game from Insomniac as according to a new report, the much anticipated title will make it’s first appearance at the next Playstation State of Play which will take place around the end of September. First unveiled back in 2021, Marvel’s Wolverine is going to be the next huge Marvel based game from developer Insomniac, after their massively successful and acclaimed Marvel’s Spider Man.

According to Insider Gamer, the trailer for Insomniac’s Wolverine is already finished and it’s currently expected to be showcased with utmost certainty at Sony’s next huge event. But if for some reason the trailer doesn’t appear in the next State of Play, it would likely be released later this year, possibly at The Game Awards in December. Overall, we’re definitely going to get a real good look at the Wolverine game this year and probably sooner than later.

After Insomniac knocking it out with both Spider Man games, a lot of players are curious to see what they do with Wolverine this time around who has a drastically different powerset and playstyle which will be required with it. Also, there has been no standout game with the character thus far which means unlike Spider Man, Insomniac has to build a lot of gameplay elements right from the ground up which certainly explains the amount of time they need with this game.

But overall it’s definitely exciting to see what they do with Wolverine who, just like the famous webslinger, has a lot of potential for being a really great gameplay driver which means the possibility of a great game that’s a lot of fun to play and effortlessly replayable is very much there.

And though there’s not a lot that’s currently known about Insomniac’s Wolverine, it’s been described previously as a standalone title with a darker tone which fits perfectly with the theme of the iconic Marvel character.
