HoYoverse has announced the details for a new permanent game mode arriving in Honkai: Star Rail with Version 3.6 on September 23. This new mode, called “Anomaly Arbitration,” offers a challenging endgame experience. It provides dedicated players a way to improve their strategic team-building and combat skills. This addition aims to increase the permanent content available to players who have mastered the existing high-difficulty challenges.
Anomaly Arbitration consists of a series of tough encounters that will test how well players understand their roster. Players need to build three separate teams to face the “Knight trial stages.” They can tackle these trials in any order, allowing some flexibility in how they interact with the unique enemy teams and their traits. After completing these initial stages, a single, powerful team is sent for the final “King in Check” stage. Here, players can also choose from special “Arbitral Quadrant” buff effects to support their attacks.
Before beginning the Anomaly Arbitration trials, players must meet a challenging set of requirements, indicating that this content is intended for experienced Trailblazers. The requirements include reaching Equilibrium Level 6 and achieving a perfect full-star record in some of the toughest existing content: Stage 12 of Memory of Chaos, Stage 4 of Pure Fiction, and Difficulty 4 of the newly introduced Apocalyptic Shadow. This tiered system ensures that only those who have truly mastered the game’s mechanics and characters can take on the new challenge.
For those who show they are up to the task, the rewards are generous. Participating in Anomaly Arbitration provides a new currency called “Lone Stardust,” which can be exchanged in a new shop for exclusive items. These items include a new pet named “Complainer,” Pom-Pom’s “Sweet Dream! Pajamas Set” outfit, and “Interference Keys” for optimizing Relic sub-stats. Additionally, players can earn limited-time avatar frames and “Self-Modeling Resin.” The mode will receive updates once per version, ensuring a steady flow of new challenges and rewards for the dedicated player base.
