Microsoft has recently announced the first wave of titles coming to the Xbox Game Pass August 2025 lineup including AAA heavy hitters like Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, indie gems such as Rain World, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders and many more. This month’s Game Pass lineup certainly covers a lot of range in terms of gameplay variety and scope, so if you’re on the PC or Xbox, make sure to give some of these titles a try.
Among all the titles for Game Pass, Rain World came out on August 5 and is available through Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This indie adventure sports a unique aesthetic along with some engrossing platforming gameplay and is a must play if you’re a fan of indie titles.
A major highlight among all the titles featured in this month’s Game Pass lineup is Assassin’s Creed Mirage which has some of the best stealth mechanics ever seen in the series, both from the current RPG-era of the franchise and the earlier titles. So if you enjoy the stealth aspect in Assassin’s Creed which isn’t as consistent as it should’ve been throughout the series, you’ll definitely find a lot to love in Mirage, which is heavily focused on Stealth coupled with unique and satisfying new gameplay mechanics that makes stealthier runs both memorable and replayable.
Mirage also puts huge emphasis on the parkour elements, making it one of the best titles in the recent years when it comes to city-based platforming in the series.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is available on Game Pass from today, 7th August for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
