Developers Team Ninja/PlatinumGames and publisher Xbox Game Studios have just revealed the official system requirements for the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 4 and they’re delightfully accessible and much lighter than most titles of this year. This also means Ninja Gaiden 4 is pretty much guaranteed to run smoothly on most systems out there, possibly indicating a highly optimized PC port which fits greatly with the fast paced, action packed experience the game is going for.

Apart from the 100 GB SSD storage requirements, Ninja Gaiden 4 seems pretty mild in terms of both CPU and GPU that’s needed to run the game at decent quality levels. Also, Ninja Gaiden 4 seems to run on developer Platinum Games’ proprietary engine which is far more focused on performance unlike the more demanding Unreal Engine 5 which was used in Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. Overall it certainly seems the upcoming hack-n-slash title is geared to run fairly well on most systems, potentially ensuring a larger audience.
The fourth entry in the legendary hack-n-slash series, Ninja Gaiden 4 is scheduled to arrive on October 21 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, and Game Pass. Developed in collaboration between Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja and Platinum Games, Ninja Gaiden 4 will feature a whole new character named Yakumo, besides returning protagonist the iconic Ryu Hayabusa.
Both editions of the game, the $70 Standard Edition and the $90 Deluxe Edition are currently up for pre-order at multiple online retailers (including both Best Buy and Walmart) and pre-ordering Ninja Gaiden 4 (both physical and digital copies) will also unlock a special in-game costume named the Dark Dragon Descendant skin for Yakumo.
