Genshin Impact Reveals New Region and Gameplay Changes

The developers of Genshin Impact have recently announced highly awaited details for Version 6.0 Luna I during a livestream, in which they mentioned the new region of Nod-Krai. This update will mark the start of Chapter I of the Song of the Welkin Moon and will bring in a lot of new content, including three new playable characters and a surprising new way to obtain limited five-star heroes.

The Genshin Impact banners in Version 6.0 were sure to present a strong case. Featured in the first half were Lauma, a new playable character, and a very popular five-star Dendro Archon, Nahida. The second half brought Flins, another brand-new character, and the return of the formidable five-star Hydro Bow wielder, Yelan. Moreover, in the first half of Version 6.0, a Sumeru Chronicled Banner will be released, allowing the wish of any five-star character from that region, including Alhaitham, Cyno, Tighnari, Dehya, Nilou, and Wanderer.

Apart from the new characters and the new banners, many significant changes and improvements have also been made to the gameplay in this update. The level cap will increase up to 100, and a new item named Masterless Stellar Fortuna is going to help players level up characters to beyond level 90. This item will be rewarded to players for each additional copy of a five-star character after they reach C6. Furthermore, Genshin Impact players can now craft Condensed Resin with 60 Original Resin, which is less than before, and can also obtain one free constellation for any five-star character obtained before Version 4.0, excluding some Archons and highest-tier support units.

In one of the most thrilling announcements during the livestream, the brand-new user-generated content sandbox called “Miliastra Wonderland” was revealed. A framework allowing players to build their custom characters and unique playgrounds inside Teyvat. Open Beta is scheduled for the Sandbox launch on October 22, 2025. Version 6.0 and the Nod-Krai region will be handed over to all Travelers on the 10th of September.
