If you thought Elden Ring Nightreign was hard, think again cause From Software’s online co-op experience is about to get even harder with the upcoming “Deep of Night” mode that’s scheduled to arrive on September 11th. It’s a challenge mode tailored for veteran players in Elden Ring Nightreign who have already completed everything the game has to offer and are fit for taking on even harder challenges and enemies. So while the upcoming difficulty may not be for everyone, the additions it brings into the game are pretty substantial, in more ways than one.
In the “Deep of Night” mode, players will face even stronger enemies everywhere and the game won’t specify in advance which Nightlord you’ll be fighting nor will let you know if there will be a Shifting Earth event at some point which will basically nullify your efforts to prepare your build in any way. It seems the upcoming challenge mode in Elden Ring Nightreign will see the game acting against the players in a myriad of fundamental ways.
However, the game also balances out the experience by providing players entirely new types of weapons and relics that grant even more powerful effects, while also having new detrimental effects as well.
And as you continue to win through the “Deep of Night”, you’ll descend to even deeper levels of depth with each being far more challenging than the previous one. FromSoftware has also announced that Depth 4 and 5 will feature “an endless battle” geared for those “seeking even greater thrills.” It looks like if you’re a fan of brutally hard Elden Ring combat, you’ll be in for a real treat with the upcoming new challenge mode.
Elden Ring Nightreign is a Multiplayer co-op experience with up to three players where you can either play it alone or be part of a three-player team. Set in a totally separate Universe, the game is set to bring back many older, classic Bosses from previous FromSoftware titles such as Nameless King and The Duke’s Dear Freyja. The game was a huge hit upon release with more than 3.5 million units sold so far along with a ‘mostly positive’ user review rating on Steam.
